Meet the Team!
Rev. John Sterling Poole, Director
John was born and raised in Spartanburg, graduated from the College of Charleston in 2020 and taught high school English for two years before coming to CWF in 2022. John was very active in CWF while in college, and CWF helped John actually find God and find his true calling to ministry. John is a student at Duke Divinity School in order to become an Ordained Elder in the UMC. He lives in North Charleston with his wife, Hannah, their three cats: Huckleberry, Gulliver, and Bilbo, and their dogs, Zebedee and Mordecai.
Clayton Tovo, Assistant Director
Clayton was raised in Glen Ellyn, IL and is member of the Class of 2022 at The Citadel. A member of CWF for all four years as a student in college, Clayton originally came on to CWF staff as the Graduating Intern. He is working towards ordainment and a career in Navy chaplaincy. He lives in North Charleston and is a hockey goaltender in his free time.
Isabella Knapp, Communication Intern
Isabella is from North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and is currently a sophomore at the College of Charleston. Her experience in both media and fine arts was cultivated by attending an academy for two years, where she received multiple awards. Friends and family, as well as her home at the beach, mean a lot to her. She has a strong desire to connect people to Christ through the arts and her career path is moving in that direction.
morgan smith, Graduating intern
Morgan was born and raised in Dallas, Georgia. As a senior at the College of Charleston, she is striving for a Bachelor's degree in History. Her compassion for others and Christ has called her into leadership throughout the ministry. In her free time, she enjoys ice skating, baseball, swimming, and hiking. She strives for connection between herself and other students, in addition to the friendship that links the campuses together.
